Ayurvedic Marma Massage

Freedom from illness depends upon expanding our own awareness, bringing it into balance, and then extending that balance to the body
— Deepak Chopra

If you have had positive experiences with massages before, you know how relaxing and restoring they can be for balancing your physical body.

Marma massage goes deeper and also reaches the subtle body within the physical body through stimulation of Marma points in the body. The subtle body, is also called our pranic body. The pranic body holds and circulates prana. Prana means ‘primary energy’ or ‘life force’. But it is more than that, it is the original creative power. Our prana body is a very important part of our system that is well recognized in the Eastern medicine, but until now, poorly understood in the West.

When blockages occur in our system, prana doesn’t get to flow freely. This can lead to a wide range of symptoms. From local pains in the physical body, to mental disorders like, sleep problems or fatigue.

Marma points in our body are centers for the vital force of prana. Through stimulation or manipulation of the marmas, blockages can be removed and energy will start to flow more freely.

The word Marma (Sanskrit language) means ‘hidden’ or ‘secret’. So, with the use of the marmas, this massage taps into hidden energy reserves to make a connection with the greater powers of life and nature.

During this massage special attention will also be paid to the 7 chakra’s .

If you are ready to connect with yourself on a deeper level and you would like to understand more of the source of your physical or mental disorders, then this is the kind of massage you are looking for.
