The connection of yoga, breath and meditation in my work.
A keystone philosophy I anchor all my teachings in, is the ancient wisdom of Hatha Yoga. Ha- means SUN and tha- means means MOON. This refers to the male and female energy we are all born with. It is also often known as Yin and Yang, where Yin is the female energy and Yang the male. When we live a life in balance, we know how to use both energies and as a result become the best versions of ourselves. Through hatha yoga postures (asana鈥檚), breath techniques ( pranayama), breath therapy and meditation your awareness and compassion towards yourself will grow.

I can direct you to discover where you might have energy-leaks and how exercises can help you to find new strength and self-confidence. I will teach you how to use and control your breath, the free flow of breath in regard to physical as well as mental health is very closely linked and widely researched. These techniques can give you tools to regulate anxiety as well as an overall sense of calm and well being.
The way we live, in a society where work-pressure, performance and achieving unrealistic goals seem to be the norm, is not helpful to the quality of our breath. The following aspects of life are a few examples of a major disruption for our energy and breath:
路 A fast-paced life with full calendars and agenda鈥檚
路 Quick meals (that are eaten in a hurry)
路 Multi-tasking
路 Prioritizing performance over wellness
路 Strongly outward focused attention, such as excessive use of social media
As a result of a hectic life, stress will influence our well-being. Stress (or a stressful life) is the most common underlying factor of illness and disease. This current society stimulates mostly our male energy, therefore you could say that we live in a Yang-world. At some point people begin to feel that they are missing out on something important. Hatha Yoga, breath exercises and easy meditations can bring you a new sense of calm and peace, and help you find your balance. The practice of these techniques will help to remind you of what is really important in life.
The combination of postures and breath exercises that I teach in Hatha Yoga, will not only give your body more flexibility and strength, it will increase the free flow of breath and therefore your sense overall well-being.
